HOW IT ALL BEGAN

A few years ago I got sick and found out that I was gluten intolerant. Our favorite meal of the day is breakfast and you would find us many Sundays after church at our local restaurant eating breakfast and having a bloody mary. After one such Sunday I did not feel so well and figured out many bloody mary mixes have gluten. My husband’s dad challenged us to come up with our own recipe. Through many tastings and a process of trial and error we came up with our current recipe for the bloody mary mix.

We love to entertain and had many brunches with friends and family where bloody marys were served with our favorite fixings. Many of our friends and family exclaimed, “this is the best bloody mary mix we have ever had, you should really sell it!” We listened, and I started making it in our kitchen and selling it at Farmer’s Markets in 2020.

The name UFFDA Juice came about one Christmas with family. We started brainstorming for a name for our bloody mary mix. With my husband’s family being mostly Norwegian the you betchas and Uffdas started to fly! UFFDA Juice stuck! Our tag line “ISH DAT’S GOOD” could be heard from many a hunter at the Tangen deer camp after a good meal or a sip of a cold beverage. We hope that you enjoy UFFDA Juice as you gather with family and friends.
